Our Farm

The farm "il Muot" is situated 4.5 kilometres into the Fex Valley. We run an organic farm, meaning the first priority is to take care of the stunning landscape which is to be found around here. Our cattle consists of 18 mother cows and their calves. The herd is made up of the races Original Braunvieh, Aubrac, Angus, Limousin and Pinzgauer as well as – since this summer – a Simmental bull.

In the year 2006 we built a new stable which is directly opposite our living house.

During the summer, the first priority is the harvesting of hey. Since we only have a short summer and we live on 1980m a.s.l., the grass only gets mowed once a year. In total, we cultivate roughly 28 hectares of land. During the time of harvest, the herd feasts on communal grazing land which lies above our farm.
